To his childhood friends, he was affectionately known as "Chilly Willie"—a nickname that remained a fond reminder of his lifelong playful spirit. From the moment he woke up in the morning until it was time to sleep, Willie was always joking around. Turning his passion into his vocation was one of his proudest professional achievements, reflecting his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to providing for those he loved.

Faith, Family, and Passions

Above all else, family was Willie's sanctuary. He lived by a simple, beautiful rule: his family always came first, over anything else. Among all days of the year, Thanksgiving held a particularly special place in his heart. It was his favorite holiday—a day where he could combine his love for family with his love for cooking. A fantastic cook, he took immense pride in preparing delicious meals and gathering everyone around the table.

His faith was the cornerstone of his daily life. One of Willie's absolute proudest accomplishments was serving in the sound department at his local church. He possessed a true passion for sound engineering, faithfully operating the audio equipment and ensuring the congregation was lifted through music and worship every week.

In his free time, Willie embraced the great outdoors. He loved camping, fishing, and bike riding. His enthusiasm for camping was so contagious that he inspired several of his closest friends to buy trailers of their own so they could set out on group outdoor adventures together. When taking a quiet moment to relax, he could often be found enjoying a good movie with his loved ones.

Willie was truly one of the happiest people in the world—a kind, lovable, and welcoming soul, inside and out. He made friends everywhere he went, ensuring that everyone felt embraced, valued, and loved.

Willie is survived by his beloved wife and soulmate, Odilia Bety Estrada;
